Developing Your Mental Fitness

Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of mental illness. It is the "psychological state of someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment" and so there is need to be mentally fit.

Improved memory and learning come from mental fitness. Your mental fitness determines how well you will learn and remember new information. Your mental fitness controls how effectively you can use your brain to achieve the goals you want and the prosperity you wish for.

A good way to think about this principle is that mental fitness is similar to physical fitness. For instance your natural muscle performance doesn’t differ that much from the rest of the population. It is how you train and exercise them that make them either strong or weak.

Similarly, your natural brain performance doesn’t differ that much from other people as well. It is how you train and use your brain muscle that makes a real difference.
You can improve your athletic fitness through many activities. 

Similarly, you can also improve your mental fitness through many activities. Some are easy while some are challenging. It is often the more challenging ones that have the most benefit. Put your brain to work.

Do some reading of not just your textbooks, but other meaningful literature and also learn how to do some real deep thinking; not worrying but thoughts that will yield results.

You don’t expect you can run a marathon the day after going for a jog for the first time in five years. Similarly, you can’t learn one memory technique and suddenly your memory drastically improves. You can, however, start to see result early in your training program, spurring you on to better fitness.

Your brain reward you for positive learning experience. Like improving athletic fitness, improving your fitness has benefits in many areas of your life. Employment, relationships, confidence, and leisure are few. In today’s economic climate, self-directed learners have a great advantage over those who wait for the next organized course to come along.

If you don’t take care of physical fitness, it is more likely you will develop physical illnesses and diseases such as heart diseases. Similarly, if you don’t take care of your mental fitness, it’s more likely you will develop brain fatigue or experience age related mental decline earlier in life. But physical and mental fitness can help your body work for longer periods.

Hopefully you can begin to see why many memory improvement products don’t work all that well or at all. If a product promises significant memory improvements without much mental effort on your part, be suspicious! That’s like saying you can improve your physical fitness without lifting a finger, or it is like saying you can lose weight simply by taking a pill.

Some ways of developing your mental fitness.
1. Train your muscle with brain teasers and constant reading.
2. The largest room is the room for improvement. Improve always on your last performance. Keep at challenging tests or memory by trying to confront some challenging quiz and riddles.
3. Memorize and recall at subsequent time of the day.

Take care of your mental fitness after it has been developed. Disallow everything that deteriorates the rate and capacity of storage as Sexual pervasiveness, Smoking, Unprofitable games, Alcoholism and Drugs.

Finally purity purifies the brain. There is need for you to purge yourself of all ignoble things so that you may be pure and operate in the frequency that God has ordained for you.
